UPbed Independence Rotating 4-in-1 Lift Chair/Bed
The UPbed Independence is four beds in one: a sit-up bed, a rotating chair bed, a powered lift bed and a comfortable traditional sleep bed. It rotates 90 degrees in either direction and supports up to 500 pounds, helping users get in and out of bed on their own terms while keeping caregivers out of the heavy lifting. It is one of our most versatile rotating sit-to-stand beds for aging in place.
Sit-Up Bed for Everyday Comfort
Raise the head section for reading, watching television or simply relaxing with full back support. The back and knee sections move independently or together, so the user can ease pressure points, settle aching joints and find a restful position without any caregiver help.
Rotating Chair Bed
The UPbed swings 90 degrees to the left or right, bringing the user to the edge of the bed and giving flexibility in how the bed sits within a room. Adjustable, cushioned guardrails convert into supportive armrests in the chair position, framing a secure, chair-like seat for transfers.
Powered Lift for Standing Assistance
From the seated chair position, the lift function gently raises and tilts forward to help the user rise to standing, then lowers smoothly when it is time to sit again. For anyone with reduced leg strength or balance concerns, this takes the struggle and the fall risk out of every transition.
Traditional Sleep Bed
When the day is done, the UPbed lies flat as a genuinely comfortable bed. A premium 7-inch homecare memory-foam mattress cushions the body, while an aircraft-grade metal frame and two silent, independently controlled motors keep nighttime adjustments quiet and disturbance-free.
Thoughtful Safety and Convenience
A motion-activated under-bed light illuminates the floor for safe nighttime trips, and two USB outlets at the base keep phones and devices charged within easy reach. Together with independent back-and-knee control, these details make the UPbed practical for daily living, not just recovery.
